In House Grind, a project that myself and Joel Beukelman have been collaborating on is making progress. Yesterday we took a step and launched our landing page while we are getting the blog ready to go. You can visit inhousegrind.com to sign up for our feed.
As Joel mentioned, in his post at whoisjoel.com,
“We are really excited to bring the design community some inhouse perspective & conversation.”
Excited we are, being that many design blogs and design conversation talk about the how to’s and every day battles of freelance or independent design life. We highly respect those individuals and dabble with independent work ourselves, but thought it would be awesome to start a site geared toward the every day life of designers, developers and creatives that hold inhouse positions.
We have a few things planned for the site and one is to get more designers involved. We believe that the power of the community sharing their experience and knowledge about their inhouse design jobs and experiences can only strengthen the industry and make things better for ourselves. So don’t be surprised if you get a DM from Joel or I asking you to contribute in one way or another.
If you feel like you have something to contribute or feel you have a good topic for inhousegrind that we should discuss, hit us up at rant@inhousegrind.com

Would love to hear your comments and feedback.

Im am really excited to about this site! Currently I have split duties of an in-house designer and a freelancer. I definitely can feel the ups and downs of both. I am interested in hearing the experiences of being in-house for everyone else! Can’t wait!! Let me know if you guys need any help

Knowing that there are a lot of designers who work inhouse, I think you’ve found a niche that needs some catering. Congrats on the idea and getting everything moving forward. I’m freelance, but I’ll still read

Although, I’m a writer and not a designer, I’d love to contribute. I look forward to seeing this unravel!
